Fred Gums

Fred grew up in North Dakota and came to know the Lord as a young boy.  He received a degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota State University and then served in the Air Force for four years.  He worked as a cost/scheduling engineer on construction projects in North Dakota and Wyoming.  In 1985, God called him to seminary and he graduated from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana in 1988.  Shortly after, he accepted the call to serve as pastor at Le Mars Bible Church where he has been ever since.
 
The joy of Fred's life is to study and teach the Word of God and shepherd the people of God.  He firmly believes that serving Jesus Christ by pastoring the local church is what God designed him for.  He also finds great joy in being married to Kamie since 1973.  They have two children who love the Lord and four wonderful grandchildren.
 
In his spare time, Fred enjoys reading, fishing, and riding his motorcyle.
