Adult MInistry

OUr Aim

We take ministry to adults seriously. Adults bear many burdens and the church is here to help! We seek to equip adults by pointing them to the perfect Word of God. This is done in a number of contexts - flocks, Sunday school classes, and Men's and Women's groups. If you are longing for a place to grow, we invite you visit one of our adult ministries.

2018-2019 Flock groups

Are you thirsty for meaningful spiritual  friendships? God designed the church to be a community of believers who care for and sharpen one another. Each week our small groups meet to do just that. Flocks are small groups of believers who gather in homes to enjoy fellowship, study the Bible, and pray for each other. If you are thirsty for this kind of community we invite you to visit one of our flock groups.

    1. What does faithfulness look like in a nation that has lost its way?
    2. What instructions does the Bible give us as we prepare ourselves for the darkness that is closing around us?

    3.  Where might we have lost our way and what might Jesus be asking us to repent of?
The book will be available for flock members at about $8 per copy.

Women's Ministry

LIFT (Ladies in Fellowship Together) is a women’s Bible study open to all women in the church and community.  LIFT meets every other Tuesday at 9:00 in the youth room.  This year we are also offering an evening LIFT at 6:30 p.m.

The mornings consist of brunch, Bible study, small group discussion, and a Practical Pursuits time.  We are studying the book of Philippians in 2016-2017.

There has definitely been an overwhelming support of this ministry.  Women are connecting to one another, learning from one another, and growing in their knowledge and understanding of God’s Word!  Women of all ages have been coming.  We have around 30-40 women in the morning and 8-24 women attending at night.

Women's Service Teams

The women of LBC play a crucial role in the life of the church. The women's service team group is a serving ministry that is open to all women of the church. The purpose of these teams is to meet practical needs and show the love of Christ to the people of LBC. Service teams include a beautification committee, fellowship committees, a funeral team, a mission house team, a helps committee, and a hospitality team. These amazing committees would not function without the wonderful volunteers who give of their time to serve.

Men's Ministry

BIblical Leadership Training (BLT)

Biblical Leadership Training courses seek to equip men for leadership in the home and the world. These 12 week courses look a bit like a college class - with lectures, homework, and reading assignments. The goal is to equip men in areas of theology and Christian leadership. LBC has offered BLT classes on  Hermeneutics, Church History, and Personal Evangelism. BLT classes typically meet on Sunday afternoons.
